I started the 101 things in 1,001 days project back in June 2014 and then kind of forgot about it. For some reason it popped back into my head recently so I thought I’d check on my progress. It turns out that I’ve actually completed more this year without really thinking about it than I did last year when I started the list.
One of the points on the list is to finish writing my list. Thinking of 101 things that you want to do is pretty hard. I added a couple more recently so my list is now up to 80 things – you can read it here if you’re interested.
As I was going through and marking things off that I’d completed I was feeling pretty good about myself. Until I realised that I’d only actually completed 11 of them. I thought I was ticking off loads as I was making my way through them. That’s annoying. My 1,001 days ends in March 2017 so I do have some time yet to power through.
Still trying to think of another 21 things that I want to add to my 101 things list seems like a pretty daunting concept. I was convinced when I started that it would be a piece of cake writing the list but I think I got to about 15 and started to struggle. That’s why finishing writing the list became one of my to-dos!
I am a big fan of list (in general) and setting goals for yourself and I haven’t actually done that this year. If you remember I wasn’t quite ready for the new year to start and haven’t actually managed to get my head around it until a few weeks ago. Which means I pretty much wasted 6 months! So now I’ve got a new sense of vigour and I’m ready to go. Maybe it’s the good weather, maybe I’ve battled out of the weird funk I was in, maybe I’ve just woken up a bit. Whatever it is, I’m ready now. I’m not going to waste anymore time and I’m good to go.
Do you have any inspiration for me of things to add to my list? Is there anything glaringly obvious that you think I’ve missed off? Let me know.
Kisses,
