Tom is a big Dr Who fan. He has been for sometime and, to be honest, I just sort of ignored it. I let it go as something he liked that I wasn’t particularly interested in. I mean it wasn’t like we were living together at the time and if it was on when one of us was visiting he used to watch it on catch up. Occasionally, I’d half watch an episode while he had it on but never really paid it any time.

That was until this beauty took over as The Doctor! Now, Dr Who episodes come with a whole ritual of its own. It needs a brew and a biscuit (or three) and a cushion to hide behind. It’s the ideal early evening watch of a weekend and the perfect precursor to a bottle of wine.

Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary

I’ve mentioned before my excitement about the stamp set that is being released for the 50th anniversary of the show and I still think that’s great but I’ve found something that has got me even more excited! Yep, Dr Who homeware!! Woo hoo!

You know that brew I said we always make before we settle down in front of the TV? Well now I could only go and make it in a bloody Dalek teapot!

The orange screams retro stylings and the Dalek is so much fun. It’s bloody brilliant.

This isn’t where the tea time fun ends though, oh no! I can pour my tea from my Dalek teapot into one of these brilliant mugs!

One of the mugs even matches the teapot! Although I think my favourite of all of them is the yellow TARDIS mug. There really isn’t any more iconic Doctor Who imagery than Daleks, Cybermen and the TARDIS is there?

So, once I’m settled down with my cup of tea made in a Dalek teapot, poured into a TARDIS mug there’s only one more thing I need (besides my biscuit stash, obviously) and that’s a cushion to hide behind. What better cushion than this TARDIS one!

None of the well scary baddies are going to get me while I hide behind this bad boy!

Then, when it’s all over and the cups need washing up, just before we crack open the bottle of wine, Tom can dry all our dishes with this tea towel set.

The tea towel set come in pairs. One set has a TARDIS and a Dalek design and the other set has a TARDIS and multi-monster design. I kind of want all four.

That’s not all though, there’s other designs for the teapot and cushion, oven gloves, aprons and even an espresso set. They’re all available now from Hintons Home and I can’t wait to time lord it up in my kitchen!
