The rather lovely and wonderful Annie Bean is currently running a pretty amazing Changing Rooms type competition with Laura Ashley at the moment. (Random fact; whenever I type my name into a text message on my phone auto correct always wants me to follow it up with Ashley.)
The competition is for the bloody brilliant prize of £1,000 to spend on Refreshing Your Room at Laura Ashley. As I’m sure you already know, I’m totally obsessed with homeware and I feel like I have to blog about these things to stop me spending thousands of pounds on them on a pretty regular basis.
So, here we go. I’m going to share with you our rather bland and slightly embarrassing spare bedroom.
It’s a bit of a funny shaped room. It’s long and narrow and just doesn’t lend itself to a particularly good layout. Any ideas on how to rearrange it are very gratefully received.
As you can probably guess, I got a little carried away on the Laura Ashley website picking things I’d refresh my room with.
The rest of our flat is pretty modern and I desperately want this one room to be all girly. My own little sanctuary away from the boy!
This Provencale Mirrored Wardrobe is just what the room is calling out for. I would finally be able to get rid of the shop rail and get all my clothes and shoes tidied away in this beautiful piece of furniture.
I know I have loads of shoes and I thought that just in case they wouldn’t all fit in the bottom of the wardrobe, this Clifton Ivory Blanket Box could double as shoe storage and give me somewhere to sit and read or do some knitting while I’m hiding from Tom in my new room of pretty.
With everything else being white and quite bland (apart from the pretty furniture) I thought I could inject a little colour with these beautiful Lori Floral Curtains, Elsham Chunky Knit Blanket and Summer Palace Cushion. I love the way duck egg blue looks against white, cream and ivory. So fresh and bright.
Anyway, there we have it. I could go on. Laura Ashley has so many beautiful and pretty things. I want it all.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Kisses
