I was mooching around the internet the other day, as I often do, and stumbled across my new favourite homeware designers. Dupenny design and manufacture the most fabulous wallpapers and gorgeous ceramics and art prints.
What makes it even better is that they’re a UK company and they’re based in one of the coolest cities around, Brighton. (Is Brighton actually a city? Did I make that up?)
Anyway, enough of rubbish geography skills I want to show you why I fell in love and had to find out more about this company.
Is this the most fantastical tea set you’ve ever seen in your life? It’s beautiful isn’t it? It’s like a saucier version of the tea set we had at The Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea. It’s not cheap at £240 but by gosh it’s incredible. It comes with a teapot, cake stand, tea-cup and saucer, sugar bowl, creamer and cake plate featuring some very naughty ladies with names like Mindy Macaroon, Betsy Battenburg and Norma Nibbles. I don’t think you’d find these ladies down your local WI.
Following on in a similar vein is this amazing 1950s Housewives fabric. I just need to try to think up some crafty plan to use it now. Cushions would be easiest but I want to do something a little more special with this bad boy!
I might even mix and match it with this super sexy Burlesque Fabric too. I just love them both so much and I kind of want to take a felt tip pin to them and colour in their outfits. If it wasn’t £96 a metre I might even actually do it. How fabulous does this chair and lamp look though? I need them!
This bloody amazing Strong Man Wallpaper is what initially drew me in though. I wasn’t looking for wallpaper, I don’t have anywhere that I can wallpaper in our rented flat. You know I love looking for quirky homeware but I don’t even know what I was looking for when I stumbled across this bad boy but it’s the whole reason I’m now obsessed with Dupenny. It’s absolutely mental but brilliant.
I love, love, love everything they have to offer and more than anything want that Time For Tea Tea Set if nothing else. Do you love? What ideas do you have for that amazing fabric?
Kisses,
