I live in a geeky household. It’s no secret. Tom’s a sci-fi nerd, I love comics and we’re both mad about Doctor Who. (Yes, I know that’s also sci-fi but shush.)
I love my Star Wars t-shirt and Tom thinks it’s hilarious to make the Star Wars Day comment on 4th May every year but I have a secret. I’ve never seen Star Wars. Well, that’s not entirely true. I’ve seen a bit of one of them. The bit where the fluffy things fight with the robot things in the forest. You know what I mean, yeah? I thought so.
Anyway, Tom has all six Star Wars films on Blu-ray and I have agreed to watch them at some point. Maybe today should be the day? Maybe not.
Anyway, in preparation I thought I’d do something that I really enjoy to try to get me in the mood, so to speak; cross-stitch!
My version isn’t quite as good as the white on black version the Claire of The Bellwether did in her tutorial here. I did mine in reverse colours because I didn’t have any black aida fabric. I might redo it like this though.
How are you celebrating Star Wars Day? Do you have any crafty ideas for it? Have you used any of the tutorials on Tuts+ before? This was my first but I love the place!
May the fourth be with you,
