I hadn’t seen Steph since before Christmas so last week we ventured down to Brick Lane to get something to eat and catch up. Rather than go for the usual Brick Lane curry we headed up the other end of the road and decided to treat ourselves to brinner (breakfast for dinner) at hipster heaven, Cereal Killer Cafe.
It was everything we could have wished for and more. It was brilliant. Pop Tarts and cereal cocktails made it the most exciting dinner I’ve had all year! Yay for Cereal Killer Cafe.
We both had Confetti Cupcake Pop Tarts. I had forgotten how bloody ace Pop Tarts are until then. This was Steph’s Lion King cereal cocktail. It had Lion Bar cereal, Chocolate Shreddies and caramel milk. I can’t remember what those sweets on the top were but she bloody loved them!
I had Unicorn Poop. How could I not have a cereal cocktail called Unicorn Poop?! It was Ricicles, Party Rings, mini marshmallows, marshmallow Fluff and hundreds and thousands. It was so super sweet but absolutely incredible.
Not only was the food ace the decor was mega too. There were lamps on the tables made from those old plastic bowls you used to get free with cereal, you can see the Care Bears one that was on our table in my photo above. There were also loads of cool toys and prizes from when cereal packets were good and even a knitting pattern for a Tony The Tiger jumper.
Then to top it all off the TV on the wall was showing episodes of Clarissa Explains It All! I loved that show when I was younger. I pretty much wanted to sit there for the rest of the night scoffing cereal and watching old Nickelodeon shows. Sounds like an absolute dream, right?
Who’d have thought I would be waxing lyrical about cereal? Have you been? Are you planning to go?
Kisses,
