The Punk Goes… albums are some of my favourites and I have a fair few of them in my collection; most of the Punk Goes Pop, both Punk Goes Acoustic and Punk Goes 80s. I might extend my collection to encapsulate them all soon. So when I heard Punk Goes Pop Volume 5 was going to be released soon I got excited. I’ve been living in the past with my Punk Goes… albums so I am looking forward to bringing it up to date.
I shared with you the lyric video for Upon This Dawning’s version of Carly Rae Jepson’s Tell Me Maybe a few weeks ago and now I have another one from this album to share with you. Memphis May Fire have Covered Bruno Mars’ Grenade and I love it!

Memphis May Fire’s lead singer, Matty Mullins said “This is the first cover song we’ve ever done and we chose “Grenade” because of its power & overall emotional sensibility. We felt there was a lot of room to adapt the song musically into our genre and that we could stand firmly behind the lyrics. We’re all very happy with how it turned out!” So am I!
Here’s the tracklisting for the album to get you even more excited…
