So, it’s almost May and I’m just about getting ready to round up March. I really need to start working on getting these out at the beginning of the month. I did say this exact same thing in February’s post too. Oops. Wish me luck for April’s roundup being at a more appropriate time! Ha.
March just seemed to fly by in a haze. Maybe it was just because it was so blummin’ cold that I wanted to hibernate.
Nice Time
I had a really lovely Mother’s Day. My mum was down visiting and we went to a local pub for a meal. It wasn’t anything particularly fancy or over the top but it was lovely. (How many times do I want to say lovely in one paragraph?!)
35 Before 35
I did manage to tick off a few more things on the old 35 before 35 list. I bought myself flowers. It’s really been making me happy having fresh flowers in the house. I also killed two birds with one stone and went on a date night with Tom to see Black Panther at the cinema.
I also got a night out with my friends to Dans Le Noir in Farringdon. It was a lovely meal and an unreal experience.
I’ve well and truly failed on the old baking goals though. I was going to try and catch up and do two bakes in March and I didn’t do any. There’s no way I’ll be able to catch up now but if it’s the only one I miss this year, that’ll be pretty good going!
Fun Times
I did a bunch of fun stuff in March too. I think the top of that list has to be going to see Bayside, The Musical. What a blast that was. It’s a musical parody of Saved By The Bell and I implore you to go and see it if you grew up in the 90s and you ever get the chance.
On top of this, I went to three more escape rooms. In Modern Fables, we had to work out what had happened to Lavinia, the owner of an arty bar, The Escapist. In Inkwell Investigations, a time travelling, geography defying manor landed in a park in Mile End where not only did we have to stop the time machine exploding but had to work out who the killer was too. Finally, we wandered into a Cabin in The Woods were a crazed hunter had stolen some items from our tent and had given us just an hour to find them before we became the hunted!
All in all, it was a good month looking back. It feels like ages ago now though!
