**In collaboration with Prestige Flowers. I recieved the Exquisite bouquet for review purposes but all words and thoughts are my own.**
The closer it gets to my due date, the less I really want to leave the house. I know, I know. But it’s such a hassle hoiking this huge heavy body around. Trying to find something to dress it in that doesn’t look like it might explode at the slightest twist and manages to make me feel alright in myself isn’t easy. That, coupled with my aching back, hips and legs, makes sitting on the sofa such an enticing prospect. To be fair, I’d rather be lounging in the bath than sitting on the couch but I want to spend some time with Tom and Cece and the bathroom isn’t really the place for that.
So, while I’m spending time at home I’m really trying to embrace the little things that make me feel good. Hot water bottles, chocolate milk and flowers around the house.
I’ve written before about how much having fresh flowers in the house makes me feel good. I even set myself goals to encourage me to buy them for myself.
I received a gorgeous bouquet from Prestige Flowers. It was so big that I actually had to break it up and put it into two vases. My living room not only looked beautiful but smelt amazing too. They lasted for a good couple of weeks before they started to wilt and the lilies, when they came out, were a gorgeous cream colour.
Cece wanted to help me with the flower arranging which is why they had to be split by colour. That was her decision but I was quite happy with how they looked in the end.
I have used Prestige Flowers to send to people before. They arrive in a big black and white cardboard box and are really well packaged. I think they’re very reasonable for the quality of flowers you get and their bouquets can always be upgraded in size or added to with gifts, balloons and cards. Plus, they’re currently giving away free chocolates with lots of their bouquets.
I won’t actually see my mum this Mother’s Day for the first time in a few years. I know, I’m very lucky and I will be with her the weekend before. It’s been a while since I last sent her flowers so I think she may get some of their Mother’s Day Flowers in the post. (If you’re reading this mum, pretend to be surprised ok?!)
