To be honest, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Valentine’s Day. I mean obviously it’s nice to be appreciated by your other half (or a secret admirer) but if they have to be told to do it, is it really worth it? I’m not sure, although saying that, I’m not one to skip an occasion for a bit of a fuss. Anyway, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and as much as I love a box of chocolates and a bunch of flowers it’s always nice for a gift to have a little more thought in it. So I thought I’d share some of my favourite things that say “be my Valentine”.
1. You’re like, really pretty pencils from The Carbon Crusader on Etsy. It’s no secret that I love stationery and these pencils remind me of when I was in school and I used to have my some with my name on them. What better way to tell a stationery lover how you feel?
2. Elbow heart patch sweatshirt from MF Jewels on Etsy. A comfy sweatshirt is almost like getting a big cuddle and this one has love hearts as elbow patches. So so cute.
3. Billy Murray You’re Awesome Journal from Urban Outfitters. Everyone likes to be told that they’re awesome and it’s even better if it’s coming from Bill Murray as well as you! It’s like getting a celebrity to endorse how you feel about your valentine.
4. Ms. Betty’s Original Bad-Ass Candles from Etsy. These Bad Ass candles are totally vegan and come in a variety of scents. Their messages are my favourite part though and I kind of want to collect them all! This one gets right to the point but maybe the more appropriate one for Valentine’s Day would be I’m romantic – once a year!
5. Doctor Who typographic print from Rachillustrates on Etsy. We are big Whovians in our house and this is one of my favourite quotes from the show. It’s a really sweet saying and as a fan of the show it would make a really thoughtful gift.
I hope these inspired some ideas for gifts for your valentine. Let me know if you have any good ideas for presents too.
Have a wonderful loved filled Valentine’s Day.
Kisses,
Lots of cute ideas here, I don;t celebrate this day with my partner but it’s a good excuse for me to make something special for dinner or treat myself to something new 😉
How cute is that jumper! Love it 🙂 Given me some nice alternative ideas for Valentine’s, thanks!
