While we’ve been decorating our flat I’ve become totally obsessed with cushions. I find myself looking at them wherever we are. What an absolutely pointless thing to become obsessed with right? I just can’t help it! If I actually bought the amount of cushions I’ve coveted over the past few months I couldn’t have any other furniture in my whole house, I’m sure!
I have noticed recently my inclination has been towards animal cushions. Animal prints, animal portraits, animal shaped… I love them all. I’m blaming my lack of having a pet for this new found love. If I had a real life furry friend to cuddle I may not need a cushiony replacement.
The latest additions to my lust list come in the shape of these awesome PIXanimal cushions from French design house AKLH. Apparently…
“‘PIXanimals’ explores the animal kingdom’s raw soul and only keeps the basic essentials, its genuineness. The wild beauty of these animals with clear and sincere look comes from the dawn of times. As a contemporary mark, the pixel treatment smoothly integrates them to the culture 2.0.”
I don’t know about that but I do know that they are pretty ace. Each of the four cushions are double sided so if one day you decide you’re not that fussy on the cat any more and it’s looking at you funny you can whip it over and get a fuzzy faced raccoon staring back at you instead! How good is that?
The four cushions each have a different animal pairings on them. There is the cat and raccoon cushion I just mentioned.
There is also my favourite pairing of a deer and a wolf. I think if I do actually buy some of these this is the one I’m going to go for. Although, I think I’d have to buy two because I couldn’t pick between which side I’d want on show!
They also make a tiger and lion pairing and a fox and dog pairing too. I kind of want to buy all four and just have them on weekly rotation or something. A different selection of animals on the sofa each time someone came to visit!
They certainly make a statement, they’re on sale at Rume at the moment for £40.80 each and I really love them. I just have to try and work out what room to put them in and see if there’s any space left on our sofa.
Kisses
