This week has been a long and hectic one yet somehow I don’t really feel like I’ve achieved much. You know, one of those treading water weeks? I’ve still had plenty of reasons to smile though.
<3 I was feeling blue the other day and Tom emailed me this to cheer me up. I think it’s mega!
I want it as a print in our house! As soon as I find out where he found it I’ll let you know!
<3 Menswear Dog is one of my favourite things to have ever graced the pages of the internet. He’s so awesome and knows how to rock a vintage blazer!
<3 I can’t believe I didn’t know they are making Dr Who stamps. I would never have been excited for this but Tom loves it and since Matt Smith became the Dr I’ve had more than a passing interest in it too! Each of the eleven doctors will get their own stamp!
<3 Jamie from Intertitles has put together a London City Guide and despite the fact I’ve lived here for nearly two years now I found this part on where to eat, drink and be merry really interesting!
<3 I love Maurice Sendak and recently bought myself another copy of Where The Wild Things Are because I’ve lost my old one. While I was going through some old links I’d favourited I rediscovered this quote of his that I originally found on Peonies and Polaroids.
“Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I answer all my children’s letters — sometimes very hastily — but this one I lingered over. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it.”
It’s been a while since I loved something so much I wanted to eat it!
<3 Becky of Milk Bubble Tea posted 20 random facts about herself and I thought it was brilliant. I’m going to try and do a similar post soon!
<3 Finally, Procatinator has been filling all my procrastinating whims this week. It is beautiful in it’s simplicity. Pictures of cats and music but it throws out some absolute gems like this one. It’s my absolute favourite!
