Here comes autumn

I’m a bit of a walking contradiction in that I hate being cold but I love autumn and winter. I think it’s because I’m more comfortable dressing for the colder weather. Jeans and jumpers cover a multitude of sins and no one can really tell where my wobbly bits stop and my many layers begin but that’s a whole other blog post for a totally different time.

Anyway, as well as heralding the beginning of the colder weather I wanted to share with you this swish little number that is the newest addition to my wardrobe. This cashmere jumper* (I know, how fancy?) from London W11 is the softest thing I’ve ever worn. It even has velvet trim along the v neck and cuffs to add to the luxurious feel. I feel so ridiculously swanky when I wear it, it’s an absolute dream.

The slate grey colour means that it works with anything and the classic chic styling of it immediately means I look put together. Something I’ve definitely been struggling with since the baby arrived. I never seem to have enough time to get myself ready and end up throwing on the first things I can find. I’m just super lucky that now, one of the first things I find is this sweater. I’m now on the hunt for the perfect oversized white shirt to go underneath it for the most incredible preppy look. Teamed with some dark blue skinny jeans and court shoes, I’ll look like a woman on a mission!

Having never owned anything cashmere before, I now don’t want to wear anything else. It’s so, so, so soft and I just want to shrink down and roll up inside it. I’ve definitely got my eye on this chunky rib sweater next. I mean, how cosy does it look?
