I bloody love Christmas and this year I’ve been really excited for it, like even more than normal. I’m not sure why this is, maybe it because Bram was due on Christmas Day and that made it more exciting even though now I get to cuddle him at Christmas instead of just awaiting his arrival.
Anyway, whatever it is that has made me more giddy than usual for the festive period there are two things that I really can’t get enough of from the second that December hits (and, you know, sometimes before too but shhhh!) – Christmas songs and Christmas films.
Christmas songs have been the soundtrack to my working day for the past two weeks now. I love the cheesiness of the classics – Wham, Mariah, Michael Buble… the list goes on. But, I also like an alternative Christmas tune like Christmas is Awesome by Reuben and today I’ve been listening to the album It’s A Punk Rock Christmas.
This year though, a new Christmas song was dropped onto my radar (thanks Tom) and it’s quickly becoming a new favourite. That song is Can’t Wait For Christmas by Loose Tapestries. I can’t help but sway my head in time when I watch the video too. It’s almost hypnotic. Here it is, let me know what you think!

Hopefully you enjoyed that as much as I did.
What Christmas songs do I need to add to my playlist? Are you as obsessed with Christmas songs as me?

As a music teacher, Christmas music is my daily bread from November!!! I do love it although I’ve got more traditional things on my play list. I.do like all the modern stuff though!!!Xx
