I had a quiet one this weekend and decided that it was a good time to look after myself a little bit. I got busy with the body brush, ran myself a bath piled high with bubbles and coated my entire head in a thick conditioning masque. Just before I dived into my mountain of bubbles I also scrubbed my face clean and lay back on the bed for twenty minutes of relaxation while I let the Q10 Caviar Nourishing face mask* from The Beauty Mask get to work.
I’ve never actually used one of these sheet masks before. My usual face masks have been on the smother on and peel or wash off variety but I have to say I really enjoyed how luxurious this felt. Well, it did once it was on. Putting it on felt a little ridiculous with the chin strap and the ear hangers.
The foil package that this mask comes in can be cooled or heated depending on what kind of feeling you want from your mask. Popping it in a bowl of hot water to warm it up will make it more relaxing whereas sticking it in the fridge for a while will make it refreshing. I went down the fridge route and it was lovely.
When you take the mask out of the packet there is a lot of excess serum in there. I popped the packet back into the fridge and used it as a night serum for the next two nights. It’s very generous with the good stuff. The Q10 Caviar Nourishing Mask is one of Timeless Truth’s Luxury Anti-Ageing masks that is said to help promote skin cell turnover and reduce the visible signs of ageing. OK, I might have hit the big 3-0 but I’d like to think I’m not looking too old yet. Although, maybe if I keep using products like this I can stave off those signs for a little while longer.
They have a whole range of really lovely sounding masks and I want to try the Charcoal Detox Brightening Mask next.
Have you tried any of these masks? Do you have a favourite face mask I should try on my next pamper day?
Kisses,
