Little Nan’s is the place of my dreams and can be described in the same way I am sometimes. It’s cute, kitsch and a little bit tacky. Every available surface is draped loving in leopard print, sequins and fairy lights. I wanted to move in immediately.
The bottomless boozy brunch includes a bottle of prosecco and two teapots full of cocktails that can be topped up endlessly. We went for the Costa Del Deptford which was a tropical fruity delight and the Lady Pat Butcher which was a spiced rum and lemon zinger! Our teapots were adorned with sparklers, sweets and glitter and I think I need everything in my life to now be that little bit more extra because it makes me so happy.
It wasn’t just the booze that put a smile on my face though. We were also presented with the three-tier cake stand of my kid’s party dreams. It was chock full of pineapple and cheese on sticks, sausage rolls, pork pies and little cocktail sausages. As well as french fancies, vienesse whirls, Kit Kats and pink wafers. The only thing it was missing was Party Rings! I could have polished the whole stand off myself (and I’m tempted to recreate it at home so I can do exactly that!) It was paired with a bowl of the cheesiest disco fries and some very pickley fish finger sandwiches. All of which were definitely needed to mop up the free-flowing booze.
I’m pretty sure Grandad’s Shed is my spiritual home. I love it there.
