I was doing well with my eating better and moving more before I had a week off work at the end of May/beginning of June to do some family celebrating.
I fully intended to stay active while I was away from home and apart from walking the dog once or twice, it didn’t really happen.
Getting back into it was really difficult too but today I started again. I got up this morning and did 14km on the exercise bike before I did anything else. I definitely feel more awake this afternoon and I think it’s thanks to that. Exercise in the mornings really does set me up well for the day. When I spend an extra half an hour lazing in bed I feel sluggish and sleepy all day but getting up and on the bike makes me feel more awake and ready to take on the day. Cliche alert!!
Here’s hoping I can keep it up now!
