At the end of last year, I started to think more about the food that I eat. Rather than reach for whatever was at hand, I wanted to consider what I was putting into my body. I wanted to start feeling good about myself again and I wanted to shake off that sluggish feeling that had been plaguing me.
Plant power?
I figured that the only way to truly start thinking about my diet was by shaking it up completely. Once upon a time, many moons ago, I was a vegetarian. It was a path I’d followed before and decided I’d try to tread it again. I even toyed with the idea of kicking the year off with Veganuary but decided I needed a bit more information and help with it first.
I still definitely want to try a vegan month and now that I’m planning to head to Vegan Life Live I know I’ll be going into it fully prepared.
Being vegan isn’t just a diet
I kind of forgot that being vegan means more than just not consuming animal and animal-derived products in your diet. It touches all facets of life that I’d never even thought about. It encompasses everything from the clothes we wear and the skin care we use, to our cleaning products and the way we think about the world.
This is one of the reasons I’m pretty excited to head down to Vegan Life Live. There will be over 200 exhibitors providing everything from chocolate, cheese and cake to shoes, supplements and spices. Also, there is a full schedule of lectures and talks from experts about the ethical, environmental and compassionate effects of living a vegan life.

Well done for taking that step to try and make a change. I am not vegan either I am a vegetarian but I describe myself as having a vegan, cruelty free lifestyle because everything from the clothes that I use to the makeup has not been tested on animals or has not been made from animals. I have been incorporating more vegan food in the past few months and I would love to win tickets to see vegan life. I would love to hear the ethical talks and educate myself more on the vegan industry x
